Angel & Alfred | Sunken Gardens Wedding in St. Petersburg, FL

Where to begin with this amazing wedding day? Angel and Alfred created a love filled, guest centered, elegant afternoon that brought everyone together for their sweet union. They chose Sunken Gardens for its incredible blooms and picturesque landscapes, everywhere you turn there is another perfect photo op.

Their bridal party was chosen with care, all of their closest friends who have loved and supported them over the years were present. The guys were relaxed, casual and enjoyed sharing their whiskey before donning their suits and helping to comb the perfect coif. The room was boisterous, full of fun and laughter. The ladies room was quite the same but with a loving joy that was less pants dropping and more lacy jeweled loveliness. The suites at the new Hyatt in downtown St. Pete, with their large windows, white spaces and muted warm tones make the perfect backdrop for all of these moments. After everyone was ready, we hopped in a limo and headed over to the gardens to meet their friends and family for their sweet ceremony.

They opted to not see each other before Angel’s walk down the aisle for a first look so when her brother escorted her, arm in arm, Alfred was awestruck. His bride looked radiant as she took his hands and they said their vows. After the officiant pronounced them and they shared their first kiss, it was time for the party to really begin! One of the groomsmen took “pants off dance off” quite literally- see if you can spot him below.

From the limbo to the quiet slow dances, the night was filled with laughter, love and even a birthday! The newlywed couple led a joyous rendition of “Happy Birthday” to her nephew to celebrate his 10th year! Once the songs were sung, the bouquet tossed, the cake cut and the limbo stick set down, it was time to call it a night. I had so much fun capturing this day for Angel, Alfred and their family.
